Update [September 2007]: We shall work with St John’s and Wiltshire Ambulance to provide rapid initial attendance at medical and first aid emergencies within a small radius of East Knoyle. In major emergencies every second counts and we are a long way from services.
Volunteers should be aged between 18 and 70, have a current driving licence with no more than three points, be physically fit with a mature outlook on life and a sympathetic and caring approach to people. Full training will be given over a few weekends in November. Uniform and equipment will be supplied. Volunteers will be covered by Wiltshire Ambulance insurance.

Update [January 2008]: Interviews have now taken place. After training in late January / early February we shall be operational. There have been a number of instances in the last couple of months when the team could have been used to provide rapid response and so we hope this will be a valuable addition to the parish.
