Opened in 2006 by local celebrity author, Terry Pratchett, Wren’s Shop & Post Office has gone from strength to strength.  2016 will see the 10th anniversary of our amazing volunteer community shop!  To celebrate this we are hoping to rejuvenate the shop by combining essential maintenance and renovation work with a new look inside and additional storage and office space which will make the shop, we hope, more inviting.  We are planning a range of fund raising activities and hope that everyone will support us.  Take a look at our Facebook page to see what is happening at any time.

The overall management is the responsibility of an elected management board with an AGM in May/June.  The AGM is open to villagers who have purchased a ‘share holding’’ .of an annual membership (currently £5).

Fundraising for the Refit is gathering momentum with over £22,000 now saved towards our target of £55,000.  Any and all donations are gratefully received and we hope to be well over halfway to the target before work starts in Summer 2016.

The shop provides a fantastically wide and enviable range of food with regular deliveries of dairy, vegetables, fresh meat along with cakes etc, drinks (including alcoholic), household/haberdashery, pet food and sundries, frozen produce and a great supply of sweets and chocolates. Whenever possible we provide an outlet for local produce.

We also offer many varied services; * Newspapers * Dry Cleaning * Shoe Repairs * Kindling/Firewood * Freshly brewed hot drinks * Fresh Flower and tickets for Local events.
