For Your Information

Wiltshire Police is dedicated to both preventing crime and apprehending offenders. Smart Water has a proven track record in both these areas of business.

Following negotiations with Smart Water Technology Limited,
www.Smartwater.com, the company have agreed to make Smart Water Property Marking Kits available to Neighbourhood Watch members at a nationally discounted price of £15.00 excluding VAT and postage. This is heavily discounted and it is stressed that there is no further annual fee payable.

To keep down administration costs kits will only be supplied in multiples of 10 and all applications, within Wiltshire, must be processed through David Budd, Crime Prevention Officer and NHW Liaison Officer (NHWLO) who is also the County lead for Smart Water.

The procedure that has been agreed is:

1. NHW Watch scheme coordinators should canvass their scheme members and obtain details of who would like to purchase kits.

2. Scheme coordinators will, if able to order 10 kits or more, make a request to the NHWLO who will confirm that the request is from a bone fid e NHW scheme before sending the request to Smart Water.

3. Where scheme coordinators are unable to order 10 or more kits then the request should be sent to the Area Coordinator or Community Area Coordinator for consolidating with another order. The area or Community Area coordinator will then pass the order to the NHWLO

4. Smart Water will despatch the kits to the named scheme/ area or community area coordinator who will then be responsible for delivery, collection of monies and payment of the invoice from Smart Water. Wiltshire Police will not be liable for any non payment.

5. Smart water have stated that,as this is a nationally discounted price for NHW, they will not entertain any price increase that may be levied by Scheme/area or community area coordinators to gather in additional funds for individual syndicates.
